We're getting shit done, dealing with the ugly stuff, and many of us are never looking back on this week again (I'd say for the better!). Mercury in Sag and Venus in Libra move in such a way that they share the aspect of a sextile for the whole week. In spite of everything, the sweet, tender, silly, and unserious interactions with others stabilize us during the calamitous events that color the world's events this week. Reach out to your friends, compliment strangers, and lend a helping hand whenever you can. <3
Monday, November 13th
We start out the week with a nasty arrangement between the Sun, Moon, and Mars in Scorpio. The new Moon perfects at 1:27am PDT, making a most brilliant appearance for those living in the western hemisphere. The Scorpio new Moon is entangled at a close degree to its malefic ruler, Mars. New beginnings are planted with fear, paranoia, and a need to over-protect yourself in mind. Mars-y events prevail, especially if you have fixed placements between 10-29 degrees (Aquarius, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio). Aside from the more worrisome implications of Mars, he also reflects swift reactions, clearly directed action, and a focused drive to “get to the bottom of things.” Take your time when responding, think your words over, and stay aware of how obsessed you become over certain things!
The Moon enters Sagittarius by 6:23pm PDT, reflecting a felt release or freedom (to some degree) from the aforementioned topics. This period of relief is met with different (but annoying) restrictions and firm acceptance of reality. The Moon in Sag applies to conjoin Mercury for the remainder of the day, pushing our attention to positive/encouraging messages, plans, and transactions of the near future.
Tuesday, November 14th
While the labored Saturnian vibe of the night before lingers into the first half of Tuesday, other things distract us under the conjunction of the Moon and Mercury in Sagittarius. When planets conjoin at the same degree, it reflects a fusing or melding of the two planet’s essential natures. Mothers (Moon) x Money (Mercury), Secrets (Moon) x Travel (Mercury), Water (Moon) x Nervous System (Mercury). When joined together in a nativity, Valens writes the following:
“Mercury and the moon are good with respect to the union and status of men and women, with respect to the power of speech and education, and concerning commerce and other enterprises. They make men who act in common, who are resourceful, experienced, inquisitive. They also cause men to advance by great expenditures, to be very changeable, not persevering in their activities or intentions for the future. noble in the face of adversity, but are subject to ups and downs in their livelihood.” (Anthology, Valens, Book 1, Pg. 18)
In the sign of Sagittarius, this alignment takes on themes relating to religion, travel, expansion, liveliness & generosity. The ruler of this alignment is averse (Jupiter in Taurus), which means the Moon & Mercury are on their own to make sense of things while in Jupiter’s fiery home. The Moon also makes a sextile to the Moon (as does Mercury), which weaves some sweetness from friends, neighbors, and sisters into the fabric of Tuesday.
Additionally, Venus and Mercury follow each other in a tight sextile throughout most of this week. Look to see which houses are ruled by Venus (Libra & Taurus) and which houses are ruled by Mercury (Gemini & Virgo) in your chart to see what areas of life are helping each other out this week!
Wednesday, November 15th
The Moon traverses through Sagittarius, un-aspecting any other heavenly body until she enters the sign of her exile at 11:42pm PDT. The Moon in Capricorn sextiles her ruler, Saturn in Pisces which washes a spell of fatigued over the world. We’re dreaming about serious things and focusing the end of the working week on our long-term plans. Wednesday very much feels like an extension of Tuesday, making us extremely tired come night time.
Thursday, November 16th
The Moon in Capricorn is put to WORK this Thursday, with aspects from every heavenly body (both in stressful and helpful ways). The Moon in Capricorn separates from her aspect with Saturn and enters a brief period of benefic enclosure (where the a planet travels through the rays of both Venus and Jupiter- promoting a sort of celestial protection for a certain period of time). This brief period of bonification happens between 1:37pm-4:15pm - do with that what you will! Additionally, the Moon in Capricorn transfers light from Venus to Jupiter, which is majorly helpful to the topics of your Jupiter-ruled houses. The better part of Thursday helps us be productive, communicate well with others, and stick to our long-term commitments! Take advantage of Thursday’s weather to get your shit together for the month.
The Sun and Mars conjoins in Scorpio at 27 degrees, affecting fixed sign placements close to those degrees. The melding of the Sun and Mars brings aggravation & visibility to war-like matters, robberies, emotional confrontations, and muddy situations. Catastrophes involving water are likely, especially in the daytime.
Friday, November 17th
Friday feels like an extension of Thursday, though with less of the benefic presence to soften the blows. The Moon in Capricorn sextiles the Mars/Sun conjunction at 6:55pm, shedding more light on the events of the Mars/Sun conjunction. Seems like a lot more opinions are joining the events that transpired on Thursday.
Saturday, November 18th
The Moon enters Aquarius (Saturn’s airy home) at 3:28am PDT, having us all wake up with mental clarity and a focus on intellectual matters. The Moon drifts through the fixed air sign until 5:50pm when she squares Jupiter in Taurus, offering us long-awaited physical relief (such as food, drinks, touch). If you’re staying up late this Saturday, look forward to lively conversations and interactions happening much later in the night as the Moon trines Venus in Libra and sextiles Mercury in Sag.
Sunday, November 19th
The Moon in Aquarius apples a square to Mars and the Sun in Scorpio, though it does not perfect until 1:38am PDT the following day. Sunday scaries prevail once again, but thankfully this is the last of the Moon’s interactions with Mars & the Sun at a tight degree in Scorpio. What’s left over to deal with at the end of the week is unpreferable in nature, though many of us have the intellectual high ground over these muddy issues.
