Astro Forecast, October 23-29

This week starts out very unassuming (and tired), but if your plans are set for the week then you know exactly how much the energy will increase by Sunday! A full moon, an end to an 18-month eclipse cycle, the start of Scorpio season, and much more colors the world's events this week. Hopefully we're feeling more stabilized & satisfied after the conclusion of this week's events, but boy does it pull us to our limits!

Monday, October 23

The Moon floated through the airy Saturn-ruled sign of Aquarius for most of Monday, separating from her square to Jupiter from Sunday, giving us the good memories of the weekend to offer support in the back of our minds. In more exciting news, the Sun finally left his Venusian fall and entered Mars’ watery homeland, Scorpio at 9:20am PDT.

This new solar season ushers in quicker motion, busier schedules, intense focus on dark matters, and a keen eye to war. The war-bringer (Mars) is co-present the Sun in his home, further emphasizing how “war” (especially near or in water) will be a prevailing theme throughout Scorpio season.

Tuesday, October 24

The Moon entered Pisces while we slept Monday night and conjoined Saturn at 1:32am PDT. The lunar conjunction to Saturn (Lord of slowness, illness, decay) spells a tired and fatigued morning for most of the western world. The Moon applies an opposition to Venus in Virgo for the entirety of Tuesday, bringing forth criticisms in the art and a general interest to cover up or fix flaws.

The Moon however does receive support from the Sun and Mercury newly in Scorpio. This is great since the Moon is in a brief period of besiegement as she gets caught between the rays of Saturn & Mars for a bit there. The Sun and Mercury are good for communicating about our troubles, especially in deeper-cutting ways since all this action happens in watery Scorpio. The lunar besiegement can be felt as depravity of nutrients, lack of water, insufficient rest periods, or general emotional dysregulation.

Our internal worlds are flared up and seem ever-important on this dreary tuesday considering every visible planet resides in a passive sign.

  • FYI: Passive signs are the earth & water signs. Active signs are the air & fire signs.

Wednesday, October 25

The action of Tuesday continues into Wednesday, though the challenges certainly simmer down. The Moon separates from her opposition to Venus, allowing all of us to move past memories of unwanted remarks towards appearance, aesthetic, or art in general.

*I did not mention this in last week’s forecast, but there was a lovely a Venus/Jupiter trine that happened on Sunday 10/22. This alignment is still relevant for most of this week, which offers supportive friendships, grounding connections with others, and preferable surprises that will help motivate our lethargy this week. Keep this in mind!

Thursday, October 26

Thursday REALLY changes the tune of this week, buckle up. The Moon moves away from every planet in the sky and enters Aries- Mars’ other fiery home. The Moon grows in light in the sky, gradually increasing the business of events on earth- though with no planetary connections, this business is somehow felt on a very personal level.

The Moon enters Aries at 3:02am PDT, which can spell war-like dreams among those who rest during the initial ingress. The Moon in a fiery sign while every other planet is in a watery or earthy sign suggests loud displays in quiet rooms, bursting excitement in the face of introverts, or just highly localized bursts of energy.

The Moon has quite a bit of strength since her ruler (Mars) is strong in his home sign, though she is averse to him which means Mars is of little help to the confrontations the Moon desires. Thursday has big “think before you act” energy and I encourage everyone to keep that in mind <3

Friday, October 27

The Moon continues flying through the sign of Aries on Friday and she lacks connections to other planets. This is known as a “void of course” Moon, and it usually reflects little developments on story lines happening in our world. If the Moon isn’t talking to anyone and keeping to herself, it's likely the same is happening to many of us.

The Moon however does reach the north node on Friday, which further emphasizes her energetic state. 7:19pm PDT is the exact time of the conjunction! Freak fiery accidents are likely, blurting vulgar words without thinking is likely, and so is the random urge to confront your enemies.

Use the energy wisely but know that Saturday brings forth conversations from all the planets the Moon has not spoken with since Wednesday.

Saturday, October 28

Saturday is a BIG day. Huge culminations and full circle moments will start to be felt. This all begins with the Moon’s ingress to Taurus (the sign of her exaltation) at 4:44am PDT. This is the sign she grows to maximum luminosity in, otherwise known as a Full Moon.

Along with an opposition to the Sun which perfects at 1:24pm PDT, the Moon also opposes Mercury & Mars in Scorpio. Intense messages are sent & received concerning the end of things. I say this for two reasons:

1. Mars with Mercury usually brings about “No's," lies, and breaking of oaths

2. This full moon is the last Taurus/Scorpio eclipse, closing out story lines that had their last relevance in our lives in April/May of this year.

Saturn sends a sextile to the Moon, reflecting approving nods from elders and a gratitude for “knowing better.”

Alternatively, Mars sends a direct opposition to Jupiter in Taurus, which brings about attacks on food and networks of aid. Mars in Scorpio usually indicates lying and breaking of oaths, while Jupiter in Taurus reflects protection over natural resources & the arts. Look out for recently relevant challenges coming to affect long-standing networks of support.

Sunday, October 29

The Moon finds herself opposite to Mars & Mercury in Scorpio, but protected by a trine to Venus in Virgo and a conjunction with Jupiter in Taurus. The events of Saturday follow us into Sunday for a dramatic close to a chapter in our lives.

We bid farewell to the final-final eclipse of the Taurus/Scorpio nodal season and find ourselves stuck between equally strong powers of comfort & challenge. Look to the houses where Scorpio & Taurus reside in your chart to see what topics will be most relevant to you this weekend. The house inhabiting Mars in Scorpio will bring challenge, while the house inhabiting Jupiter in Taurus will bring comfort & aid to said challenge.

Hang tight and find gratitude for the things that remain constant in our lives. <3
