The theme of this week is necessary change! We go from beginning things for the purposes of nurturing our environment, to beginning things to tend to our relationships to others.
~ Sunday ~
The Moon spends her last few hours in her home sign (Cancer) before entering the Sun's home (Leo) at 9:36am that morning. Sunday brings this loud, extroverted vibe that totally clashes with the solar season. There's a fixed excitement that brews to start the week, though since the Moon is in a waning state, this fire won't last past Tuesday! The most notable aspect of today is the Moon applying a sextile to Mars in Libra. This friendly aspect helps us all get our asses up to get things done. Especially as it pertains to social/extroverted matters since both planets (Moon & Mars) are in active signs (fire & air).
~ Monday ~
Monday is quite lovely, for the extroverts that is- could be considered tiring (but fun) for the introverts. The Moon parts from her conversation with Mars and conjoins Venus in Leo. This conjunction emphasizes loud displays of beauty and artistry. Any transits in the Sun's home (Leo) always makes "light" an important topic; What is brought to light, what hides in the dark when bright light is present, what is shining and might blind other things into invisibility etc. Visibility is a huge theme for Monday's weather.
Alternatively, the Moon also squares Jupiter in Taurus, who has recently stationed retrograde. Since the Moon gets caught between the rays of benefics, this makes for highly auspicious weather that emphasizes the spiritual & material protection of things (especially lunar things such as mothers, shelled animals, emotions, waterways, etc).
~ Tuesday ~
The Moon moves away from her cute party with the benefics and traverses through the sign of Leo with no connection to other heavenly bodies. This is called a " void of course Moon" which is exactly what it sounds, her course is void & empty. Since the Moon is in a fixed sign, this transit will manifest as a sort of listless, directionless, and overall lethargic energy to the day. If you're not completely dead tired by 5pm, you could stay up until 10:18pm PDT when the Moon enters Virgo and immediately has a change in pace. Looks like a random surge of energy to get random little tasks done in the middle of the night! (or weirdly detailed dreams for those of us who will be asleep!)
~ Wednesday ~
We wake up with a bit of dread and stress on Wednesday morning, as the Moon opposes Saturn and applies a conjunction to Mercury (our celestial busy-body). Of course, the Moon opposing Saturn doesn't always equate to feelings of dread, though it does reflect a spell of slowness, restriction, and discipline upon the world. The Moon is this fast body in the sky and when she opposes Saturn (the slowest body in the sky), there's this push and pull that occurs between things or ideas that need to be slow & steady and things that require swiftness & fast change. Wednesday is a great day to hash out the details of things, especially ones that need extra attention- no matter how laborious! The nice thing about Wednesday is the change of pace it brings to the week :) (take that how you will...)
One more thing... the conjunction to Mercury is important to elaborate on! This will be the last time the Moon conjoins Mercury before Mercury stations direct on Friday. Wednesday (and possibly Thursday) will bring to light any last communication/technical issues that have been relevant in the last few weeks. Important conversations are being made on Wednesday! Pay attention!
~ Thursday ~
We seem to begin again on Thursday, in the middle of the week. The Moon conjoins the Sun in an event we all know as, the new moon. This new moon is ruled by Mercury in Virgo, who at the time of the new moon, is still retrograde. This is important as it tones the rest of the solar season. When a planet is retrograde, it is akin to that planet (and all it rules) falling ill. This new moon is ushered in by a sickly Mercury, though one who is just around the corner from having a positive turning point in their health.
The new moon emphasizes cleaning of spaces, reorganizing of materials, signing new contracts (though don't do it until after friday at 2pm PDT!!!), editing & reviewing of the written word, finance, and travel.
~ Friday ~
The Moon enters Libra at 10:45am PDT and immediately applies towards a conjunction to Mars. It's important to note that Mars is in the sign of his exile in Libra, a land that is foreign to Mars and does not support his divine nature. Mars is the bringer of war and conflict, and he does not thrive when placed in a sign that promotes the beauty of personal connections. Mars in Libra is the passive aggressive coworker that communicates with horribly tacky post-its. You would rather have Mars in Aries who is direct with what they need or want, rather than dragging out conflict longer than necessary.
Anyway, the Moon gets super close to Mars in the sky, which agitates him. Moon/Mars conjunction in Libra reflects agitation in close social circles, especially with those who initiate conversations. It seems that there are active pursuits to handle things in diplomatic ways, in ways that are fair; though watch out for any trickery with the words of others. Weigh the value of things under this weather, and double-check that a verbal confrontation is actually worth your time (or energy).
~ Saturday ~
What was bubbling up on Friday, comes to fruition on Saturday. The Moon officially conjoins Mars at 12:53pm PDT which resolves the timeline of their meeting in the sign of Libra. Verbal fights or aggression are not the only things that can manifest under this weather, we could also be taking action towards social pursuits, or initiating intellectual gatherings.
The GOOD thing about Saturday's weather is that both planets (Moon & Mars) are able to view their ruler, Venus in Leo. Though Mars is struggling in Venus' home, and the Moon is kind of over Mars' shit, they both receive help from Venus. Venus shows mercy on these struggling planets, by offering resources & advice. Look to external forces in your life that might be lending a helping hand during the struggles of Friday & Saturday!
- Mars brings energy, action, athleticism, and strength.
- The Moon brings change, protection, hidden things, and represents the physical world.
- The sign of Libra is a house adorned with ideas of justice, fairness, balance, and beauty of the spoken word.
Combine these three to see what you might experience this Saturday!
~ Sunday ~
After the Moon separates from Mars, she spends most of Sunday in another listless state until she enters the sign of her fall, Scorpio. Sunday brings about sweeter conversations, especially ones that are less tense and in-your-face than the previous few days. We can look on the brighter side of things, especially since the details of the world are in better hands now that Mercury is direct.
The Moon enters the sign of her fall, Scorpio, at 9:58pm PDT, reflecting a depletion of physical resources & a need to protect what belongs to you. We're feeling bone tired come Sunday, so it's best to hit the sheets early and reset your system for the week ahead!
